A graduate of the Faculty of Electronics and Information Technologies of the Warsaw University of Technology (WUT). He received his scientific degrees in the following years: 2003 (M.Sc.), 2008 (Ph.D.), and 2017 (D.Sc.); since 2018, he has been working as an associate professor at the Institute of Microelectronics and Optoelectronics of the WUT. Since 2021 he is the head of the Microelectronic and Nanoelectronic Devices Division.
His research concerns technology, characterization, and diagnostics of materials, structures, and semiconductor devices. He develops his competencies in transparent and flexible electronics, integrated photonics, and structures based on low-dimensional materials. He is the author or co-author of nearly 60 scientific publications, 28 of which were published in journals from the ISI JCR list. His achievements also include about 100 conference posters and 30 conference lectures.
As a principal investigator or contractor, he has carried out over a dozen projects supported by EU, NCN, NCBR, and MNSW. He is also the scientific coordinator of the PROM project "International scholarship exchange of Ph.D. candidates and academic staff" implemented at WUT financed by NAWA.
He participated in many research internships, including at the University of Michigan (USA), Brandenburg University of Technology (Germany), Fraunhofer MOEZ (Germany), Fraunhofer IZI (Germany), Dresden University of Technology (Germany), IBM Thomas J. Watson Center (USA) and IBM Sommers (USA). He also spent a month as Visiting Professor at KyungPook National University (South Korea). He is a member of the Committee for Science and Staff Development of the Scientific Council of the Automation, Electronics and Electrical Engineering – AEE (since 2020), a member of the Scientific Council of the AEE Discipline (since 2018), a member of the Faculty Council (since 2017) and a member of the Rector's Committee for the Dekaban Foundation (since 2012). He is also an expert at the National Center for Research and Development (since 2013). Scientific supervisor of 14 diploma theses and 3 Ph.D. students.
For his research, teaching, and organization activity, he was awarded the Bronze Cross of Merit by the President of the Republic of Poland (2019) and awarded five times by his Magnificence Rector of the Warsaw University of Technology (2020-2019, 2018-2017, 2017-2016, 2015 and 2013).
