I was born in 1978 in Warsaw. I've received my B.SC., M.SC., Ph.D., and D.Sc. degree in Electronics (Microelectronics) in 2002, 2003, 2008, and 2017, respectively, from Faculty of Electronics and Information Technologies, Warsaw University of Technology (WUT), Poland. Currently, I'm an associate professor in the Institute of Microelectronics and Optoelectronics (IMiO), Warsaw University of Technology. Previously, I was working in the Institute of Electron Technology (ITE) as an engineer, as well as Institute of Microelectronics and Optoelectronics as an assistant.
I have performed several research projects supported by European funds, i.e.: Silicon-based Nanodevices (SINANO), Pulling the limits of NanoCMOS Electronics (PULLNANO), and Silicon-based nanostructures and nanodevices for long-term microelectronics applications (NANOSIL). Moreover, I was principal investigator or co-worker of 11 national projects supported by National Science Centre (NCN), or National Centre for Research & Development (NCBR). Actually, I'm the coordinator of the project entitled Tunable hyperbolic metamaterials for photonic devices of novel generation (HYPERMAT) performed in the course of “Novel technologies of advanced materials – TECHMATSTRATEG". Since 2012 I'm the expert of NCBR.
I have spent 6 month internship as Visiting Assistant Research Scientist at Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, University of Michigan (USA), through the Dekaban Scholarship (2011/2012). I was also Visiting Scholar at 2015 International Summer School of KyungPook National University (South Korea). I was Vice-chairman of the 2013 International Conference of Insulating Films on Semiconductors (INFOS). Moreover, I've spent also 5 week internship in the course of Science Infrastructure Management Support – SIMS, granted by National Centre for Research and Development (NCBiR) at Fraunhofer Institute, Lipsk, Dresden Technical University, Dresden (Germany), IBM Thomas J. Watson Center, Yorktown Heights, Sommers (USA), January-February 2014.
I'm author or co-author of 49 publications, 23 conference lectures and 95 conference posters. My research is focused on the technology, characterization and modeling of semiconductor materials, devices and structures. I'm improving competences in thin-film technologies and photonics structures.
